Session: Ask Me Anything: Lunch with an Executive
As part of The Cable Center's senior leadership team, Diane is responsible for creating, cultivating, and maintaining strategic relationships and partnerships between The Center and its financial supporters, as well as positioning the organization via marketing and public relations. Diane oversees business development and fundraising strategy, brokers revenue-generating programs, leads the Development Committee in its work with key donors, and oversees The Center's brand and public outreach.

Since she joined The Cable Center in 2006, Diane has been responsible for creation of The Center's $10 million Chairman's Fund endowment campaign (approaching completion); partnerships supporting The Center's Cable Mavericks Lecture Series, Cable Mavericks Masters Forum, and Customer Care Central initiatives; increasingly successful Cable Hall of Fame events; and organizational re-branding.

Diane has held professional nonprofit leadership positions since 1990. Before joining The Cable Center, she was Director of Advancement and Communication at The Denver Public Library, where she led the Library's fundraising, promotions, marketing and public relations programs for six years, and also served as Director of Development for two years. She was responsible for successful fundraising activities including the Library's signature event, the Booklover's Ball, as well as a variety of high-impact community outreach programs.

From 1993 to 1998, Diane was with the Denver Dumb Friends League, Humane Society of Denver, Inc. As Director of Development from 1995-1998, she secured grants, individual contributions and corporate donations, and was responsible for developing the League's most successful special event, the Furry Scurry.

Previously, she was Executive Director of the Lupus Foundation of America, North Texas Chapter in Dallas, and held positions with the National Multiple Sclerosis Society chapter in Ft. Worth and the Arthritis Foundation's Alabama Chapter Southeast Branch.

Diane has served on the board of the Association of Fundraising Professionals, and was president of the organization's Colorado chapter. She is an active volunteer and former board member of Women in Cable Telecommunications Rocky Mountain chapter. And she has served on the board of Fast Forward to Literacy, a non-profit organization dedicated to creating home libraries and promoting family reading for economically disadvantaged children in the Denver area.

Diane holds a Masters degree in Mass Communication from the University of Denver and a Bachelor of Arts in Speech Communication from Colorado State University. She lives in Denver with her husband and daughter and enjoys travel, skiing, and reading. She is an aspiring artist and drummer.
