Betsy Brightman serves on the Board of Directors of Women in Cable Telecommunications (WICT), a national non-profit organization that has been serving women in the cable industry for 30 years.

Betsy is currently Vice President, Content Acquisition for Comcast. In her position she leads an operations team that oversees CA initiatives in the field as well as with the CMC. Prior to joining Comcast Betsy spent 8 years as the Vice President for Affiliate Relations & Distribution for RLTV, securing linear carriage with cable and satellite operators for the network. Before RLTV, Brightman was Senior Vice President of Sales Operations for Gemstar TV Guide International, where she oversaw all affiliate sales activities and operations with cable divisions, regions, systems and regional Multiple System Operators (MSOs) in the United States.

Betsy has worked in the cable industry since 1984, when she began her career with the Crosby Vandenburgh Group, publisher of customized cable guides. While working with CVG, Betsy was a founding board member of the initial Women In Cable Chapter in Boston. She is also the past President of the Philadelphia Chapter of WICT and a graduate of the Betsy Magness Leadership Institute (Class XXI).

She is a graduate of College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, MA where she majored in English. She has been active in local fundraising for Autism Speaks and is a Board member for Variety Children’s Charity of Philadelphia. She resides in North Wales, PA with her husband Jay and 3 children Andy, Samantha and Emma. She enjoys skiing, biking, running and swimming.
