Michael is the Senior Vice President, Talent Acquisition for Comcast Cable, the country’s leading provider of video, high-speed internet, and voice services for residential and business customers. In this role, he is responsible for developing and executing Comcast Cable’s talent acquisition strategy to further Comcast’s position as an industry leader and career destination for the best and brightest in their fields. His team of talent acquisition professionals partner with and advise Comcast’s business leaders on talent attraction, acquisition and engagement.
Michael is passionate about creating an inclusive, high-performing organization that adds to the business’s overall performance. In addition to leading Talent Acquisition, Michael is responsible for Workforce Diversity and Inclusion. In this capacity, he is responsible for not only ensuring an inclusive hiring process but also for the effective delivery of diversity and inclusion programs including the education, engagement and development of Comcast Cable’s diverse talent base.
Michael joined Comcast in September 2015 from Walmart Global eCommerce where he was the Vice President of Human Resources and Talent Acquisition. His 25 years of experience as a strategic business partner and leader spans global companies—including eBay, Bank of America, and First Data Corporation—and a variety of industries including technology, media, entertainment, ecommerce, financial services, health care and insurance.
Michael currently serves on the Board of Directors for Out and Equal, the world’s premier nonprofit organization dedicated to achieving lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender workplace equality. He has participated in nine AIDS LifeCycle events—a seven-day, 565-mile bike ride from San Francisco to Los Angeles—supporting the fight against the global HIV/AIDS pandemic. Michael also served on the Board of Directors for the Downtown Streets Team of San Jose, CA, which is committed to ending homelessness. By preparing unhoused men and women for employment and housing, Michael and other team members were able to rebuild lives and restore dignity for homeless people in Silicon Valley.
Originally hailing from Kentucky, Michael earned his undergraduate degree from Western Kentucky University in Bowling Green, KY. He later earned his MBA from Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, FL. He resides in Philadelphia with his fiancé, Matthew.
