Session: The Culture of Proximity, a documentary and panel discussion with Viacom Velocity
Laura Lora is a Social Media Analyst at Velocity, a full-service integrated marketing and creative content division of Viacom. In this role, Laura is an in-house expert in tracking and measuring the social performance of marketing programs across MTV, Comedy Central, VH1, LOGO, CMT and more. Within this remit, she is responsible for coordinating the efforts of a number of internal stakeholders such as production, sales and research teams in the creation of campaign reports for major global advertisers such as Pepsi, Taco Bell, Samsung amongst others.

Laura began her Viacom journey as an Integrated Marketing intern for MTV where she learned the power of branded entertainment while offering her Millennial POV on potential partnership pitches for MTV’s biggest shows and tentpoles. Previously, Laura held internships at NBCUniversal where she gained Ad Sales experience supporting the Client Solutions arm of BravoTV and later the Digital Pricing & Planning team of Telemundo Networks.

Originally from the Dominican Republic, Laura left her home country to pursue a BBA in Marketing Communications with a concentration in Advertising at Pace University. She graduated cum laude and during her time at Pace, Laura was a Dean’s List honor student, a
