Session - Behind the Scenes with Key Players Who Are Creating Diverse Content Experiences
Craig Parks is the VP of Programming, Editorial, and Operations for Watchable, Comcast’s over-the-top video platform dedicated to the best digital shows and brands. At Watchable, Parks leads the team that identifies and on-boards new shows and partners, and programs the content via playlists and featured placement across Watchable’s web, mobile, and TV platforms.

Prior to Comcast’s Watchable, he was with Pivot, Participant Media’s cable network targeting millennials, serving as Senior Vice President, Digital & Live Programming. The channel launched in mid-2013 and Parks was responsible for the network’s live talk show, “TakePart Live,” which aired in late night five nights a week. He also oversaw the creation of digital and interstitial content video content for, and branded content for sponsors and partners.

Prior to Pivot, Craig served as IFC’s senior vice president of digital media & alternative content, Craig Parks was instrumental in building IFC’s online presence and growing the network’s fan base around its roster of original comedy series. He oversaw, social media outreach, the availability of content on alternative platforms, including Hulu and Amazon, and mobile applications. His efforts directly contributed to IFC’s business and revenue growth.

Previously, Parks was vice president of branded entertainment and business development for IFC and oversaw the development and production of IFC's sponsorship and branded entertainment content. Prior to joining IFC in 2007, Parks served for three years as executive producer and creative director of special projects in the On-Air and Promotions department of AMC Networks, the parent company of IFC. In this role, he serviced AMC Networks corporate and many of its businesses, including IFC and WE TV.

Before joining AMC Networks, Parks was an executive producer for ABC Family from 2002-2004 and oversaw the creation and execution of integrated marketing and co-branded content for ABC Family’s marketing and on-air promotions departments. Earlier in his career, Parks held positions at MTV, VH-1 and freelance work as a producer.
