Dr. Donna Rapaccioli is Dean of the Gabelli School of Business and holds the rank of University Professor.
Dr. Rapaccioli serves on the Board of Trustees of Emmanuel College in Boston and the Graduate Management Admissions Council (GMAC) Board and is a Director on the State Street Global Advisors Mutual Fund Board. She also serves on the Board of Directors of Fordham University's London Centre, and as the chair of Fordham University’s Social Innovation Collaboratory.
As an administrator, Dr. Rapaccioli has earned a reputation for creating academic programs that emphasize applied learning, a global perspective, interdisciplinary thinking, and strong ties with industry. Her philosophy centers on business with purpose, grounded in the Jesuit-influenced principle that commerce should advance society in a greater way.
Dr. Rapaccioli's research interests lie in the area of earnings management and international accounting; she has published articles in academic journals and practitioner outlets and is the co-author of several book chapters. In her role as professor, Dr. Rapaccioli was selected by students to receive the outstanding teacher award. She has consulted for and lectured on accounting and finance topics at numerous financial institutions in New York City.
She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Fordham University's Gabelli School of Business and her master's degree and Ph.D. in Accounting from New York University's Stern School of Business.
Dr. Rapaccioli was recognized as a 2018 Honoree by the Columbus Citizens Foundation and by the National Italian American Foundation in 2013 for Special Achievements in Education.

George Cheeks assumed the role of President and Chief Executive Officer of CBS in March 2020.
Cheeks oversees CBS-branded assets within ViacomCBS, including CBS Television Network, which encompasses CBS Entertainment, CBS News and CBS Sports, as well as CBS Studios, CBS Stations, CBS Media Ventures, its first-run syndication business, and CBS-branded digital assets.
In June 2021, Cheeks added the role of Chief Content Officer, News and Sports, Paramount+, extending the world-class content from CBS News and CBS Sports to the streaming super service, and responsibility for global content strategy for ViacomCBS’ free-to-air networks in the United Kingdom, Australia and Argentina.
Prior to joining CBS, Cheeks served more than seven years at NBCUniversal in senior executive positions that spanned creative, business and operational roles. Most recently, he was Vice Chairman, NBCUniversal Content Studios and was also in charge of late night programming for NBC Entertainment.
Previously, Cheeks was Co-Chairman of NBC Entertainment and was jointly responsible for overseeing primetime, late night and scripted daytime programming for the network, including business affairs, marketing, communications, scheduling, West Coast research and digital operations, as well as first-run syndication.
Prior to being named Co-Chairman, Cheeks served as Co-President, Universal Cable Productions and Wilshire Studios as well as President, Late Night Programming, NBC Entertainment, where he oversaw the network’s lucrative and successful late night slate. Prior to that role, Cheeks was President of Business Operations and Late Night Programming, NBC Entertainment.
Cheeks joined NBC in 2012 after serving as Executive Vice President, Business Affairs and General Counsel, Viacom Music and Entertainment Groups, Content Distribution and Marketing, as well as Head of Standards and Practices for Viacom Media Networks, in New York. In his first stint with Viacom starting in 1998, he began working as Senior Counsel for MTV Networks in the Business and Legal Affairs Department for the Nickelodeon Group. While there, he ascended to positions of increasing responsibility, and in 2005 he was elevated to Executive Vice President and General Counsel for MTV, MTV2, MTVu, MTV Films, VH1, CMT and LOGO.
Cheeks began his career as an Entertainment Associate at Loeb & Loeb from 1992-1994. In addition, he served as Senior Counsel, Business and Legal Affairs, for Castle Rock Entertainment from 1995-1997 and worked as an entertainment attorney at the boutique entertainment firm of Hansen, Jacobson, Teller, Hoberman, Newman, Warren & Richman, in Beverly Hills from 1997-1998.

Uzo is an aspiring media & technology mogul, hoping to bring more underrepresented voices into the content the world sees by leveraging his experience in journalism, entertainment, and technology. Currently, he's doing just that through his new venture, BlackOakTV, which is a subscription video platform superserving black audiences.
Prior to starting his latest venture, he worked at YouTube, where he helped with YouTube's efforts to partner with the greater media industry by acquiring content from media companies large and small. Prior to that role, while still at Google, he served as a consultant for digital media agencies and as a liaison between some of Google's Product and Sales teams in the Media & Technology Solutions organization.
Before YouTube and Google, Uzo got his technical and marketing credentials working at a digital media agency, Morpheus Media, where he led audience development efforts for media brands, including ESPN, ABC News, and The Economist. He concurrently operated his own blog network, which consisted primarily of sports news and features that he was able to churn out by leveraging his earlier roles as a producer and journalist at CBS, ESPN and Inc. Magazine.

In 2012 she was a featured standup in MTVU's College Quickies series and was a member of the video sketch trio Horrible Insane Girl, which premiered on IFC's Comedy Crib in May 2015. In 2016, Alise was one of the winners of the NBC/UCB Diversity Scholarship Showcase, and her series Triffany & Briffney was an official comedy selection for 2016's New York TV Fest. Rebekah is Google’s global head of DEI brand & reputation and the executive producer of Equity Talks. She is an independent corporate board member, CEO coach, sought-after keynote speaker and has led global product, engineering, strategy, and distribution teams. She served as a senior leader on the launch teams for HBO GO, CBS All Access, and YouTube TV.
Previously, Rebekah served as Senior Vice President, Advanced Digital Services at CBS. Reporting to the President, she led ideation, creation and implementation of multi-platform digital strategies. She acted as a technology expert on complex deals, which added to her proven abilities to negotiate, influence and communicate with competitors and stakeholders. She also acted as the chief evangelist and distribution lead on digital products for TV affiliates.
During fourteen years with HBO, her career progressed as she advanced through roles of increasing responsibility. As Vice President, Global Technology Business Management, Rebekah led a cross-functional, international team including product, finance, legal, and engineering leads to launch new and existing products with global affiliate and technology partners. Rebekah served as interim Chief Technology Officer for HBO Nordic during the commercial re-launch of HBO’s first-ever, direct-to-consumer (D2C) streaming digital product. Early in her career, Rebekah was head of the program management office (PMO) overseeing the end-to-end media supply chain for HBO’s strategic technology partners.
As an independent corporate director, Rebekah is a board member of Tilray (NASDAQ: TLRY). Tilray was the first cannabis company to go public on a major U.S. stock exchange, which was hailed as the most successful IPO of 2018. She serves on the compensation (chair), transaction (chair), audit, nominating and governance, and special (chair) committees. She also serves on the advisory boards of FinTech4Good, BWG Strategy, and Dentons Women in Technology. In the non-profit sector, she served on the board of trustees for The New York Foundling and as the chair of the board for the Child Abuse Prevention program for more than 10 years, among other board services.
Rebekah graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration with a concentration in finance from The College of William & Mary. She is a fellow of the Betsy Magness Leadership Institute as well as a National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD) leadership fellow. Gloria Steinem is a writer, lecturer, political activist, and feminist organizer. She travels in this and other countries as an organizer and lecturer and is a frequent media spokeswoman on issues of equality. She is particularly interested in the shared origins of sex and race caste systems, gender roles and child abuse as roots of violence, non-violent conflict resolution, the cultures of indigenous peoples, and organizing across boundaries for peace and justice. She now lives in New York City, and is the author of the travelogue My Life on the Road.
In 1972, she co-founded Ms. magazine, and remained one of its editors for fifteen years. She continues to serve as a consulting editor for Ms., and was instrumental in the magazine’s move to join and be published by the Feminist Majority Foundation. In 1968, she had helped to found New York Magazine, where she was a political columnist and wrote feature articles. As a freelance writer, she was published in Esquire, The New York Times Magazine, and women’s magazines as well as for publications in other countries. She has produced a documentary on child abuse for HBO, a feature film about the death penalty for Lifetime, and been the subject of profiles on Lifetime and Showtime.
Her books include the bestsellers My Life on the Road, Revolution from Within: A Book of Self-Esteem, Outrageous Acts and Everyday Rebellions, Moving Beyond Words, and Marilyn: Norma Jean (on the life of Marilyn Monroe), and in India, As If Women Matter. Her most recent book, The Truth Will Set You Free, But First It Will Piss You Off!, was released in October 2019. Her writing also appears in many anthologies and textbooks, and she was an editor of Houghton Mifflin’s The Reader’s Companion to U.S. Women’s History.
Ms. Steinem helped to found the Women’s Action Alliance, a pioneering national information center that specialized in nonsexist, multiracial children’s education, and the National Women’s Political Caucus, a group that continues to work to advance the numbers of pro-equality women in elected and appointed office at a national and state level. She also co-founded the Women’s Media Center in 2004. She was president and co-founder of Voters for Choice, a pro-choice political action committee for twenty-five years, then with the Planned Parenthood Action Fund when it merged with VFC for the 2004 elections. She was also co-founder and serves on the board of Choice USA (now URGE), a national organization that supports young pro-choice leadership and works to preserve comprehensive sex education in schools. She is the founding president of the Ms. Foundation for Women, a national multi-racial, multi-issue fund that supports grassroots projects to empower women and girls, and also a founder of its Take Our Daughters to Work Day, a first national day devoted to girls that has now become an institution here and in other countries. She was a member of the Beyond Racism Initiative, a three-year effort on the part of activists and experts from South Africa, Brazil and the United States to compare the racial patterns of those three countries and to learn cross-nationally. As links to other countries, she helped found Equality Now, Donor Direct Action and Direct Impact Africa.

Doug Holloway co-founded and launched the SyFy Channel and was one of the first black media leaders in the cable industry. Here, Mr. Holloway facilitates a chat with his son, D.J., whose career is moving upward as he creates strategic paths in motion pictures. How do the challenges faced back then inform people of color and marginalized backgrounds to forge successful careers in media?

Since March 2021, Creative Executive Douglas “DJ” Holloway has helped BRON Studios build a robust slate of entertaining, culturally impactful content. DJ previously served as a Creative Executive at Khalabo Ink Society in Kenya Barris’ feature film division, where he developed and sold numerous films to major streamers and studios. Before Khalabo, DJ worked as a literary management assistant at Kaplan/Perrone Entertainment, a position providing him the chance to build relationships with a variety of top writers and directors. His influence extends beyond the corporate world as well. DJ is an Emma Bowen Foundation Fellow and a Colour Associates Fellow, and he has served as a volunteer Black Film studies teacher at Scarsdale High School. DJ graduated Magna Cum Laude from the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University, earning a B.S. in Television, Radio, Film as well as a minor in African American Studies. One is certain to find DJ skiing during the winter, enjoying Martha’s Vineyard during the summer, and reading and watching movies all year round. DJ’s ultimate goal would be running a feature film studio and overseeing a breath of new content including genre-bending stories that include Black, Latino, and LGBTQ+ voices. He has been inspired by films such as SEE YOU YESTERDAY and ATTACK THE BLOCK as ways to utilize sci-fi and action pieces that speak upon the Black experience while entertaining the masses. During COVID, DJ saw the opportunities that storytellers were using during this time for new creative endeavors, although the world stopped for so many. He utilized that time to meet with many new creatives and cultivated relationships that have blossomed since that dark period. DJ is currently overseeing a number of projects including BLACULA, CUTTING FOR STONE with Richie Metah attached to direct and SIEGE OF BETHLEHEM with Antoine Fuqua attached to direct. During his time at the Khalabo, he developed and sold a horror spec from Anthony Jaswinski called, THE FRENCH QUARTER WILL NOT BE SPARED (now known as THE 9TH WARD) to Lionsgate; and developed a number of movies with other major streamers and studios including ONE NIGHT IN COMPTON with Paramount Players.

Douglas Holloway is currently a sales consultant for Wyndham Vacation Ownership and a strategic advisor and business manager for the Estate of famed jazz artist Thelonious Monk. Previously he was President Multi-Channel Distribution for ION Media Networks. There he managed affiliate distribution and marketing for the ION Network, Qubo Kids Network, and the ION Life Network. He was previously President of NBC Network Distribution, Affiliate Partnerships and Marketing where he managed affiliate relations, contracts, marketing, and new business opportunities for NBC and its affiliates. Before that, he served as President of Cable Investments for NBC Cable. In that role, he managed the joint venture interests of NBC's investments in A&E Networks Inc, Shop NBC, National Geographic Networks International, Weather Plus, and Peacock Productions. He served on the board of each company and acted as an executive in residence on an ad hoc basis. Douglas was previously President of Affiliate Relations and Marketing for Universal Cable and USA Networks Inc, managing affiliate revenue, marketing, and distribution for USA network, SyFy Channel, HSN, Americas Store, Trio, and News World International. He is one of the founding members of the SyFy Channel. He also has served as a distribution and marketing executive for Time Warner and CBS. He has been a marketing executive for General Foods and a finance executive for CBS Television. He has experience in news, sports, magazines, radio broadcast television, cable, and online digital businesses.

His prior roles were leading the launch and growth of UNINTERRUPTED which remains a major brand within The SpringHill Company's portfolio of brands.
Devin also plays a vital role in original content development as an executive producer for The Shop, More Than an Athlete, Elite Youth, and many other UNINTERRUPTED original productions that reside on networks such as HBO, Fox, Netflix, and ESPN Networks.
Previously, Devin was the SVP of digital media for Tribune Media ($1B revenue) where he led all digital efforts helping transform a legacy media business into a leading digital player, and prior to that, Devin held several digital executive roles at NBCUniversal where he was instrumental in developing the global company’s digital innovation efforts. Devin began his career working in finance working for media and consumer product companies.
A Chicago native, Devin holds a bachelor’s degree in business from the University of Michigan and an MBA from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business. In addition, Devin is the former board chair of USA Taekwondo, the national governing body recognized by the U.S. Olympic Committee, and serves on the boards of University of Michigan Sport Management and the Boys and Girls Club of Metro LA.
Michael Smith, NPR's Chief Marketing Officer, brings more than 30 years of experience in entertainment brand marketing, content, digital, and revenue-generating brand extensions.

As SVP, GM Digital Channels for Scripps Networks, Smith developed strategies to reach younger and more diverse audiences on new digital streaming platforms. Earlier, Smith was SVP, GM Cooking Channel and Food Category Brand Extensions. He oversaw marketing, brand strategy, and programming for the Cooking Channel, a network he helped create and launch. Before Cooking Channel, he was SVP Marketing, Creative and Brand Strategy for Food Network. Smith also worked in various marketing roles with Disney Channel both domestically and in Asia. He began his media career in Affiliate Relations with CBS, working to strengthen relationships between local stations and the national network. He served on the boards of Food Bank for New York and the International Radio and Television Society.
Smith earned his MBA in Marketing and Finance from the University of California at Berkeley's Haas School of Business and received his bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, and Society from Stanford University.

Ziris Savage is a Planning Editor with Spectrum News 1 in the Raleigh NC newsroom. She graduated from the #1 HBCU in the land, NC A&T SU (Go Aggies!), in 2015. The following year, she interned and was then accepted into the News Associate program at CNN DC where she covered the 2020 election and Trump campaign. In late 2017, she moved back to Greensboro and worked as a morning show producer for three years at the local CBS affiliate. In her role as Planning Editor, she helps manage 25+ reporters and photographers who tell amazing stories from across half the state of North Carolina.

Ollie is a digital research and strategy manager who works out of the NY1 office in New York City. Ollie graduated from Yale University in 2018 with a degree in political science and moved to New York in July of that year to begin his work with the Spectrum Networks Audience Insights team. This was not his first stint with the company, having interned in Los Angeles in the summer of 2017 with the Marketing team at Spectrum SportsNet, the regional sports network that broadcasts Lakers and Dodgers games. In his current role as a digital research and strategy manager, Ollie and his team balance looking at quantitative data from a range of analytics tools, with qualitative analysis in the form of broader industry research, focus groups, online community research, and competitive intelligence initiatives.

She currently serves as a Managing Digital Director for the Midwest region of the Spectrum News App, where she oversees digital editorial content strategy for Ohio, Kentucky, and Wisconsin.

President, OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network
Named president of OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network in 2019, Tina Perry oversees all operations and creative areas of the network, reporting to OWN Chairman and CEO Oprah Winfrey. Her leadership is a driving force behind the network’s ongoing evolution to become the leading destination for Black audiences. She also oversees OWN’s robust digital division including the TVE Everywhere product, WatchOWN, the network’s award-winning website Oprah.com, and its growing podcast business. She also oversees OWN on d+, Discovery’s direct-to-consumer streaming service.
Perry was instrumental in OWN’s successful launch into scripted programming with popular drama series Queen Sugar, Cherish the Day, Greenleaf, the Haves and the Have Nots, the Peabody Award-winning David Makes Man, and the upcoming Kings of Napa. She oversees the continuing success of the network’s lineup of unscripted hits that includes, Love and Marriage: Huntsville, Speak Sis, Family or Fiancé, Black Love, Put A Ring On It, and Ready to Love in addition to the Daytime Emmy-award winning Super Soul Sunday. Perry has spearheaded the development of OWN’s first programming of cooking shows including Tregay’s Way, Lovely Bites, Burger Truck Brawl and Great Soul Food Cook-off as well as the annual holiday movies on OWN. She has also shepherded the creation of special OWN Spotlight programming that tackles important issues affecting Black women today, including Oprah’s two-night town hall on racism in America simulcast across all of Discovery’s networks and platforms reaching over 18 million viewers worldwide. Perry is a champion of OWN’s social good initiatives including OWN’s award-winning, get-out-the-vote and registration campaign OWN Your Vote, OWN Your Health, and most recently OWN Your Shine, launched along with OWN’s first-ever Juneteenth activation. She is a passionate advocate for the nuanced representation of Black women in media, spearheading OWN’s collaboration with the ANA’s SeeHer.
Perry serves on the OWN Board of Directors, The Paley Center for Media’s Los Angeles Board of Governors, The Television Academy Foundation’s Board of Directors, the Board of Directors of the Friends of the Saban Community Clinic, the Board of the Hollywood Radio and Television Society (HRTS) and in 2021 was elected to the Board of Directors of Blucora.
Perry was named to Ebony magazine’s Power 100 list, was honored at the Multichannel News Wonder Woman Awards in 2020, as one of the Cablefax 2020 Most Powerful Women “Wavemakers” in 2020 and received the Women in Cable Telecommunication’s LEA Award in 2019.

Ray Wu is responsible for providing business affairs services for all Lucasfilm live-action content featured on Disney+, including negotiations for the development, production, and distribution of streaming series and feature-length films. He also provides counsel on Lucasfilm’s ongoing productions in a variety of areas including rights management and legal affairs.
Prior to working at Lucasfilm, Ray was an executive with Warner Bros., ABC TV Group, and Disney Theatricals, including serving as the EVP and co-head of Warner Bros. Theatre Ventures where he held P&L responsibility and oversaw operations and business and legal affairs. Ray was a partner and the head of TV and live entertainment at the law firm of Business Affairs, Inc. and an attorney with Katten Muchin & Zavis and Haight, Brown and Bonesteel. Ray also ran his own production company and consulted on projects in Asia and North America.
Ray graduated with honors in history from Clark University and earned his law degree from Boston University.

The firm’s clients include producers, streaming services, entertainment/media companies, screenwriters, authors, theatrical bookwriters, composers, and lyricists, musicians, non-profits, and industry financiers. Scott previously served as the head of legal and business affairs for a leading theatrical production and management company and, prior to law school, was a general manager and company manager for theatrical productions on Broadway and on tour.

He began his career at management consulting firm Bain & Company before moving into the gaming industry with roles in International Strategy and Publishing at Riot Games. Most recently prior to Coda, he was Strategic Gaming Lead on Google's Global Partnerships team.

He Executive Produced Andy Warhol: Fifteen Minutes Eternal, a documentary about the celebrated pop artist's life, and was nominated for an Emmy for Escape Fire: The Fight to Rescue American Healthcare, which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival and aired on CNN.
With a strong vision for the future of media and the importance of brand narratives, Scott has informed major industry conferences, leadership presentations, and white papers, such as Making Magic, Using Logic: The Ogilvy Branded Entertainment Assessment Model™. As a member of the Ogilvy & Mather Worldwide Creative Council, Doug advocated for brands to "own content not rent media" and worked with the global network of creative directors to implement market-driven content strategies on behalf of clients.
He is the Co-Founder of the Museum of Advertising and an active member and advisor to some of the most innovative technology and entertainment start-ups including Decentric Media, The Gaming Society, Miss Grass, Farmaleaf, XRL and Global Environment Media. Doug is an active industry speaker and has guest lectured at NYU Tisch School of the Arts, NYU Stern School of Business and UCLA Anderson School of Management.

Comedian
Alise Morales is a comedy writer and performer based in Brooklyn, NY. Alise is currently the writer of the Betches Sup newsletter, and co-host of the Betches Sup podcast. Her writing has been featured in Flexx Mag, Reductress, Above Average, PureWoW, Betches and more. In 2012 she was a featured standup in MTVU's College Quickies series and was a member of the video sketch trio Horrible Insane Girl, which premiered on IFC's Comedy Crib in May 2015. In 2016, Alise was one of the winners of the NBC/UCB Diversity Scholarship Showcase, and her series Triffany & Briffney was an official comedy selection for 2016's New York TV Fest. Alise also performed on UCB's Lloyd Night from 2015-2018
Alise’s original show, The Roast of Your Teenage Self, has toured across the country and was featured in the 2017 and 2019 New York Comedy Festivals. This year, it became its own podcast on the All Things Comedy Network and debuted at #2 on Spotify’s trending podcasts. She joined the station in 1992 and considers reporting on the city where she was born and raised to be a privilege. In 2018, Cheryl became the first African American reporter in NY1's history to win an Emmy. Add those to the awards she's received from the New York Press Club and the Associated Press, and Cheryl's mantel is getting pretty crowded! When not at work, Cheryl spends her time lecturing and writing books about her great-great-great-grandfather Sandy Wills – a slave who fought in President Lincoln's army during the Civil War.
