Our mission is to create a more diverse and inclusive media industry by providing marginalized and under-represented students unprecedented access to our industry’s current leaders. In addition, we aim to help our industry at large meet its goals to identify and hire a more diverse workforce.
For students and recent graduates who come from diverse backgrounds and experiences, ODI provides a platform for career guidance, insights, and conversations around all aspects of the media industry, powered by unprecedented access to current media leaders and innovators.
For the media industry - currently working to better reflect the audiences it serves - ODI is a resource to both identify diverse job candidates, and understand the needs and perspectives of youth who come from underrepresented and marginalized backgrounds through discussion, mentorship programs, and studies.
To date, more than 6,800 students and recent college graduates have participated in One Day Immersion, in person, and via the web. These students represent majors like Arts & Entertainment, Business & Finance, Communications, Media Studies, Media Technology, and Film & TV Production.
