ADAPTABLE: An ODI Online Series

Every month, we'll host a media, entertainment or technology executive to share their insight, advice and best practices to help build your career.

So far, 2020 has been new territory for all of us - to say the least. Our goal is to help you navigate your way around this disruptive world with conversations from diverse voices, experiences and roles to help keep the normalcy and make sure you are set up for change in a moments notice.

Our keystone conference, scheduled for November 13, 2020, in partnership with Fordham University's, Gabelli School of Business, will cover Adaptability throughout the day. We'll focus on what it means to stay flexible and open to change as you build your careers and personal lives, and how the industry must often pivot to keep us interested. Details coming this summer.

Adaptable: An ODI Online Series

This is an EXCLUSIVE online gathering for 50 students, recent grads, and faculty.

Evan Shapiro

Uzo Umeto
Content and Technology Professional, formerly with Google and YouTube

I'm an always aspiring media & technology leader, hoping to bring more underrepresented voices into the content I help distribute by leveraging the experience I have in journalism, entertainment, and technology.

I currently work at YouTube, where I support YouTube's efforts to partner with the greater media industry by acquiring content from media companies large and small. Prior to my current role, while still at Google, I served as a consultant for digital media agencies and as a liaison between some of Google's product and Sales teams. I have also been a key contributor to some of Google's key projects in marketing, content production, and product launches.

Before Google, I got my technology and marketing credentials working at a digital media agency, Morpheus Media, where I led audience development efforts for brands like ESPN, ABC News, and The Economist. I concurrently ran my own blog network, which consisted primarily of sports news and features that I gathered by leveraging my time as a producer and journalist at CBS, ESPN and Inc. Magazine.
