Dr. Mierzejewska holds an M.A. in Economics from Warsaw School of Economics from Warsaw School of Economics in Poland, and earned her Ph.D. in management at the University of St. Gallen in Switzerland. Her research and teaching focuses on media management and digitisation and its impact on media organizations and media workers.
Dr. Mierzejewska is a passionate educator and a recipient of the 2010 Barry Sherman Teaching Award and 2015 Dean´ Teaching Innovation Award. At Fordham she teaches the following classes: “Innovation in Media Business Models,” and “Media Systems and Markets.” In May 2016 she will host World Media Economics and Management conference.
She is the editor of JMM – The International Journal on Media Management and member of the editorial boards of Journal of Media Economics, Central European Journal of Communication and The International Journal on the Book.
