Session - Start-Ups! The New Pioneers of Business
Andy is focused on developing the digital distribution strategies for Tribune Media’s portfolio of television properties. Prior to Tribune Media, Karofsky was Managing Partner at SKMG where he partnered with various clients on a range of assignments including content evaluation and negotiation, business design and development, and digital strategy initiatives including TV Everywhere and emerging OTT platforms. SKMG has worked with a diverse roster of clients such as Crown Media, Gogo, Redbox, Hulu, Sonifi, Google, NBCU, Weather Channel, Tribune Media, CenturyLink, Worldplay and EchoStar.

Before joining SKMG, Karofsky was Vice President, Programming at DISH where he was responsible for strategic video business functions such as content acquisition, product management, and new platform development including VOD, IPVOD and TV Everywhere. Earlier in his career he held multiple international and domestic positions with Hallmark Channel and worked at Starz Media.

Karofsky is involved with various charitable organizations including Hero14, Miracles on Ice and ACT. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Business from Babson College in Wellesley, MA and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Denver.
