With over twenty five years of experience helping companies receive the attention they deserve, Joanne Dant brings an extensive background in all aspects of audience engagement to The Primavera Group. Her experience includes work with national and international media content, distribution and technology clients, as well as a number of non-profits. Joanne prides herself on working strategically with clients to build communications programs that help them tell their story, both internally and externally. She specializes in standard publicity campaigns, social media programs, strategic planning, special events, project management, writing and media outreach.

As a Marketing and Communications Consultant for a variety of corporate and non-profit clients, including The Cable Center, Bright House Networks, BlueHighways TV, the Outdoor Industry Association, and the Women’s Wilderness Institute, among others, Joanne focuses on managing public relations, marketing and special events, as well as creating internal and external communications programs, coordinating speaker opportunities, and BtoB and BtoC media relations.

Previously, Joanne was a Senior Associate for October Strategies, an award-winning strategic consultancy serving a national and international client base. Joanne helped increase client visibility via strategic media campaigns and targeted communications programs using both traditional marketing initiatives and social media strategies. She also worked extensively with national and local consumer and trade media, including the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Business Week, Associated Press and CBS News with Katie Couric, among many others.

Prior to joining October Strategies, Joanne was Public Relations Coordinator for PrimeStar by TCI, where she designed and managed national consumer and trade public relations campaigns and acted as primary media spokesperson. Her non-profit experience also includes working as Media Specialist for the Denver Art Museum and as Manager of Advertising and Media Relations for the Cleveland Ballet.

Joanne holds a Bachelor of Science in Business/Marketing from the University of Colorado, Boulder. She is a graduate of Women in Cable Telecommunication’s (WICT) Rocky Mountain Leadership Institute, and was named to the CableFAX 100 in December, 2007, CableFAX Magazine’s annual list of the top 100 most influential executives in the cable industry.
