My name is Colby Craig Auman, I was born in Reading, Pennsylvania. I was a three sport athlete in high school, leading the football team, as well as playing lacrosse and wrestling. After high school I joined the United States Army as an Infantryman, and I was assigned to Bravo company, 1st Battalion, 3rd Infantry Regiment, The Old Guard in Fort Myer, VA. I am proud to conduct funerals in the Arlington National Cemetery as a casket bearer in The Old Guard. Since March of 2014 I have conducted over 500 casket missions in Arlington and continue to serve. The Army has given me the opportunity to pursue a college education starting at Northern Virginia Community College. I plan to finish my career in the Army after my 2nd contract in order to focus on my college education. My goal is to become a Secondary Education teacher in the state of Pennsylvania. I am excited to attend ODI to gain a better understanding of the television industry while exploring new opportunities and meeting very interesting people. As a future teacher, I am thrilled to have the opportunity to experience educational outreach done right! Thanks to Dolly Wolf, PACE and to NOVA.
