Christabel Opoku was born in Ghana and came to the US at the age of 8. At the age of 13 she lost her father, was on her own and considers herself lucky to have ended up in foster care. Christabel is resilient and has faced many challenges with grace. Throughout high school she explored modeling, theatre, volleyball and music. She is also an advocate for foster care on a state level in Virginia. She is finishing her first year at Northern Virginia Community College where she is considering the field of communication. Christabel is grateful to NOVA and to Dolly Wolf Enterprises for bringing her to NYC and to Pace University as an opportunity to more clearly explore her field.
